INOFID (Pty) Ltd is a Spin-off Company linked to Durban University of Technology and is Durban based company. INOFID was created in 2016 to bridge the gap in product development skill by:

  • Designing prototypes for start-up business around KZN,
  • Refining exiting products to become more competitive,
  • Providing training on product formulation and conduct nutritional analysis and consumer testing of food product.

About us

There is a growing consumer demands for convenience and health promoting foods in South Africa, with approximately 8.5 million relying on agriculture as a source of employment. The Governments new growth path has therefore targeted job creation opportunities for households in agricultural smallholder schemes and agro-processing. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have greater potential of generating jobs in the agro-processing industry. However, the agro-processing industry is highly concentrated and dominated by few role players resulting in the demand for functional food never being met.
